Schedule Updates and more...
/The holidays are literally just around the corner, how did they sneak up on us so quickly???? It seems like just yesterday that we prepared the indoor for in-climate weather and dug out rain sheets?! Now the hum of body clippers and the ever changing of blanket weights is the daily barn conundrum. It was difficult to get January show plans on the way when we’re not even to Thanksgiving and we managed to miss the boat as they say to the January 15-19 show, stalls were already sold out. But, we’ve regrouped and we’re a go for the January 22-26 week!
The last calendar sent out has the SHi Holiday Party scheduled for the 14th of December, a date that appeared to clash with the December performance of the 13th Floor Rock Group, led by our one and only, Billy Bob. In an effort to not stifle their following we respectfully rescheduled our Holiday Party to Friday the 13th of December at 18:00. Bring yourself, a dish and your drink of choice. And just to keep the superstitions at bay, Billy Bob has ensured us he will come dressed for the occasion! Details not be disclosed, you’ll just have to attend to find out!
Instead of a gift exchange we are asking everyone to sponsor a LED bulb for the Indoor Arena, we have 27 to replace at approximately $90 a piece! Nessa has offered to head this effort and we will be sending out an additional notice in the next week with more details. Unfortunately we’ve been unable to verify exactly which bulbs are the correct ones without our tractor front loader/forks. We are anticipating the return of the tractor with a brand new engine early this week and the timing couldn’t be better. After missing the very short window of frigid temps we needed to get the semi through the front field with sawdust we have finally been able to secure another supplier but they anticipate not being to dump their load inside. Not to mention the indoor needs dragged. C’mon Bid Red!!!!
Here’s to good equipment, good timing and good company :) Happy Thanksgiving ya’ll! Be safe, eat lots and we’ll see you at the barn!
